Biography
Katie is a Los Angeles native who has returned to California after four years in New England, where she obtained her B.A. in Biology at Amherst College. Her positive experiences with undergraduate research led her to pursue a full-time research position following graduation, and she joined the Nijagal Lab in 2019. As an aspiring healthcare professional, Katie is excited to be doing medically relevant research under the mentorship of Dr. Nijagal and she intends to apply to medical school next year.
